Small private chapel in Campos do Jordão, São Paulo, on the same lot as the TCJ house. This project began to be developed when the project for the house was ready but the construction budget was still being defined. The design has the simplicity that meditation and a combination of introspection and contemplation require: a concrete slab embedded into the slope, supported by an off-center concrete column that allows a view of the horizon and the surrounding landscape.
The chapel and the house are visually related, framing the lawn area between them, and the chapel’s wood flooring enhances the sensation of being in the garden.
